Unlocking the Power of Parish Evangelization: The Birth of Sent Parish

The Vision for Sent Parish

When I founded Sent Parish, my vision was clear: To make a lasting impact on parishes by helping them grow and thrive. I have always believed in the power of speaking and the inspiration it can bring, even in those moments when a speaker can ignite excitement and passion. But my dream extended beyond those moments. I aimed to foster long-term relationships, empowering parishes to unlock their own potential for evangelization and discipleship, ensuring that the impact would last far beyond a single event.

The Spark: Conversations with Pastors

The journey began during a series of meetings with pastors from various parishes. As I sat down with these dedicated leaders, I listened to their experiences and challenges in leading their communities. They kept asking me, based on my experiences, what the magic bullet for effective ministry and evangelization was. Time and again, I heard the same question, and the answer became increasingly clear in my heart.

The Realization: No Magic Bullet

There isn't a magic bullet program or service that can instantly unlock effective evangelization. The real magic lies within the parish itself, rooted in the Gospel message we have all received as baptized believers. It's about sharing our discipleship journeys and living out our faith together as a community. This simple yet profound truth became the foundation of Sent Parish.

Building Beyond Myself

I envisioned building something beyond just my speaking engagements. Inspired by the example of St. Barnabas, who encouraged the believers in Antioch, I set out to create a team of modern-day Barnabases. These incredible encouragers would serve parishes by unlocking the potential they already had for evangelization and discipleship through long-term relationships.

Understanding the Struggles

Whenever I worked in ministry, I made it a priority to take the pulse of the parishes and assess how they were overcoming the struggles of evangelization. Through these experiences, I identified common obstacles and challenges, which I began to refer to as “The 7 Deadly Sins of Evangelization." These insights led me to create an assessment tool that would help parishes evaluate their evangelization efforts and identify areas for growth.

The Disciple Maker Parish Assessment

The result of this work was the Disciple Maker Parish Assessment. This tool allows parishes to take a deep dive into their evangelization strategies and uncover the barriers hindering their success. By addressing these challenges head-on, parishes can unlock their full potential and become vibrant centers of discipleship and evangelization.

Empowering Parishes for Lasting Impact

At Sent Parish, our mission is to walk alongside parishes, helping them navigate their unique journeys of evangelization. We believe that every parish already possesses the tools and gifts necessary for effective ministry. Our role is to help them unlock these gifts, fostering a culture of discipleship that radiates through their communities.

A Journey Together

The journey to founding Sent Parish was born out of a desire to make a lasting impact and help parishes grow in their mission. By understanding the real challenges they face and providing them with the tools to overcome these obstacles, we can create thriving communities of disciples.

Together, we can unlock the power of the Gospel and transform our parishes into beacons of faith and evangelization.

Join us on this journey. Let's work together to unlock the potential within our parishes and make a lasting impact on our communities.
